If you’re curious, searching, or simply looking for a church community, you’re welcome here.
Who we are
Ransom Church is a small, Christ-centered church committed to knowing Jesus, following Jesus, and living out the gospel together.
We believe the Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. Faith is formed in community, shaped by Scripture, sustained by prayer, and expressed through love for one another and for our neighbors.
Our Mission
Ransom Church exists to help people know Jesus, follow Jesus, and live out the gospel together.
Everything we do flows from that calling.
What Kind of Church We Are
We are a church that values:
Biblical teaching rooted in Scripture
Prayer as dependence on God
Worship that is sincere and focused on Christ
Community marked by grace and truth
Faith that is lived out in everyday life
We welcome people who are exploring faith, returning to faith, or seeking to grow deeper in their walk with Christ.
At the heart of our faith is Jesus Christ.
We believe following Jesus is not only about belief, but about a transformed life—one shaped by repentance, obedience, love, and hope.
Faithful through generations.
Ransom Church has a long and meaningful history in the Deason community.
For more than a century, this church has been a place of worship, prayer, and service. Generations have gathered here to hear the Word, sing praise, celebrate life, and walk through seasons of joy and hardship together.
For many years, Ransom Church was part of the United Methodist tradition. Faithful men and women served Christ here under that banner, and we honor the legacy they left behind.
In 2024, after prayerful discernment, the congregation chose to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church and continue forward as a non-denominational church.
This decision marked a change in structure, not a departure from the gospel. Our commitment to Jesus Christ, to Scripture, and to life together in faith remains unchanged.
Moving forward with clarity, humility, and faithfulness.
As a non-denominational church, we seek to move forward with clarity, humility, and faithfulness.
We are committed to:
Keeping Jesus at the center
Remaining rooted in Scripture
Walking together as a church family
Serving our local community
Trusting God for what lies ahead
We believe God is still at work here, just as He has been for generations.
